The Start of it All

SoCal SafetyNet Co. was created to help educators navigate the financial systems surrounding their careers with clarity, care, and long-term thinking. We specialize in working with teachers and school staff to understand their benefits, retirement options, and financial protections—often translating complex systems into language that actually makes sense. At its core, SoCal SafetyNet exists to reduce uncertainty and help educators feel more secure about their futures.

Over time, our work made something increasingly clear: financial stress was only one piece of a much larger picture. Again and again, conversations about retirement, benefits, and planning were intertwined with exhaustion, burnout, and a deep sense of being stretched thin. The systems impacting educators were not only financial—they were emotional, physical, and structural. Supporting teachers required more than numbers and policies; it required space, care, and human connection.

Teacher Wellness Foundation grew directly out of that understanding. It was created as a companion to SoCal SafetyNet’s work—focused not on financial strategy, but on the well-being of the people inside the system. Where SoCal SafetyNet helps educators plan for stability, Teacher Wellness Foundation exists to support sustainability: offering community-based wellness programs, restorative experiences, and spaces where teachers can be supported without being asked to give more. Together, the two reflect a shared belief—that caring for educators means addressing the whole human, not just one part of their lives.

Supporting the Whole Educator

The Teacher Wellness Foundation exists to support the humans inside education — not to fix them, optimize them, or ask them to give more.

Teaching is deeply human work. It requires presence, care, adaptability, and emotional labor that often extends far beyond the classroom. Yet the systems surrounding education rarely make space for the well-being of the people holding it together.

This foundation was created in response to that gap.

We believe wellness should not be another responsibility placed on educators’ shoulders. It should be supported, accessible, and rooted in dignity. Our work centers sustainable care — the kind that meets teachers where they are, without performance, pressure, or expectation.

Through community-based programs, restorative experiences, and intentional gatherings, Teacher Wellness Foundation creates space for rest, connection, and recalibration. Not as an escape from teaching, but as a way to remain human within it.

We operate from a simple truth:
burnout is not a personal failure — it is a signal that support is missing.

Our approach is trauma-aware, inclusive, and grounded in the understanding that care is most powerful when it is shared. We prioritize environments where educators are allowed to exhale, to be seen, and to belong — without needing to explain their exhaustion or justify their need for rest.

Teacher Wellness Foundation exists because care should not only flow outward.

Teachers deserve to feel it, too.

What we are Building

The Teacher Wellness Foundation is in the process of building community-based wellness programs designed to support educators beyond the classroom. Our focus is on creating experiences that offer rest, connection, and sustainable care — without adding more responsibility to already full plates.

Programs may include restorative gatherings, wellness-focused events, and opportunities for educators to come together in ways that feel supportive rather than performative. Every donation directly funds the development and delivery of these programs. Contributions go toward creating accessible experiences, covering event costs, and ensuring that care remains available to educators without financial barriers.

We are currently planning a silent auction gala for early fall 2026, with proceeds supporting our upcoming wellness initiatives. Details will be shared soon — we invite you to check back for updates as plans come together.

This work is growing intentionally. We believe care is most effective when it’s built thoughtfully, with sustainability at the center.

The System Runs on Exhaustion

We’re here to interupt that.

"I’ll never forget the day their support reached me. Thanks to this donation program, I had access to the resources I needed to Breathe Again. I’m not just getting by anymore — We’re building something stronger."

Human First

Teachers are not productivity units. Every program we create centers the whole human behind the role.

Community Over Performance
